Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, and having always received such positive, encouraging feedback I thought it was a good time to start my own animal education/encounters business.
Through my work, it has made me appreciate the importance of educating others about animals and more importantly the conservation of them.
A lot of the animals I work with are unwanted pets, strays or animals that can no longer be taken care of by their owners. I ensure they have suitable, safe, and caring environment. I have many species including mammals, invertebrates and reptiles.
My encounters are designed to provide a truly memorable experience for people of all ages.
I recently obtained my animal activity licence number 20/00050/PERFAN. East Devon District Council awarded me the licence after a thorough inspection to ensure my animals are meeting the 5 animal welfare needs:
- The need for a suitable environment
- The need for a suitable diet
- The need to exhibit normal behavioural patterns
- The need to be housed with or apart from other animals
- The need to be protected from pain, suffering and disease
I have full public liability insurance, a DBS certificate, and 2 risk assessments that can be viewed (one of which is relevant to covid). View my Risk Assessment here, and my Covid Operational Risk Assessment here.
If you have any special requirements or requests that are not covered on this website for example phobias/fears please feel free to send an enquiry, get in touch.
